Terms & Conditions (Event Agreement and Marketing Consent)

1. Conference agreement and booking

This agreement is made between EBC-Slovakia s.r.o., operating as EBCG, and the person or organisation registering for an EBCG conference or event (the Client). By submitting a registration, the Client accepts these Terms and Conditions.

2. Payment terms

Payment is due within five business days from the date of invoice. A processing fee of €29 plus VAT for the EU or $49 for the USA and GCC is charged with the registration.

All fees must be paid before the event. EBCG may refuse admission if payment has not been received.

Conference fees include event documentation, access to sessions, lunches, refreshments, networking breaks and any networking party stated in the programme. Travel, hotel accommodation, transfers and insurance are not included.

3. Hotel accommodation

Hotel accommodation is not included in the conference fee. Where available, EBCG may arrange a reduced hotel rate for participants. Availability and booking conditions are determined by the hotel.

4. Cancellation by the Client

All cancellations must be submitted to EBCG in writing.

• For cancellation received more than one month before the event, EBCG may retain or charge 50% of the conference fee.
• For cancellation received one month or less before the event, or in the event of non-attendance, no refund or discount is available and the full fee remains payable.

5. Changes, postponement or cancellation by EBCG

EBCG may alter the content, speakers, dates, location or venue, merge the event with another event, postpone it or cancel it when circumstances require. EBCG is not liable for travel, accommodation or other costs incurred by the Client.

If EBCG cancels an event, it may offer a credit equal to the paid fee, valid for one year and applicable to another EBCG event.

6. Privacy notice, photography and data

Photography and video recording may take place at EBCG events. The material may be used on EBCG websites, social channels, in marketing and as a historical record. Presenters will be informed when recording applies. EBCG is not responsible for recordings made independently by audience members.

EBCG does not sell or rent its email lists. Registration information may be shared with event partners, sponsors, exhibitors and other third parties participating in the same event where relevant to the event experience. Sponsors or exhibitors may contact participants directly.

Participants may ask EBCG to remove a photograph in which they are clearly recognisable by submitting a written request. Further details are set out in the Privacy Policy.

7. Event communications and marketing

By registering, the Client acknowledges that EBCG may process the supplied information to administer the booking and event, and may send information about relevant conferences, training and the EBCG job portal where a valid legal basis exists.

Marketing preferences may be changed at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting database@ebcg.com.

8. Governing law and registration

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Bratislava.

EBCG reserves the right to decline a registration.
