Robert Verbich graduated from the University of Economics, the Faculty of Business Management in Bratislava. During his studies he spent a study period abroad at the Johannes Kepler Universität in Linz, Austria. In addition to his studies at the University of Economics he also worked as a lecturer at the Humboldt Institute.
After having finished his studies in 2001 he started working in Volkswagen Slovakia, in the department of Logistics and Material Production Planning. After a year he moved to Siemens, and he stayed loyal to the company since then, apart from a small break in the years 2008-2009, when he was the Head of Planning and Controlling Department in the company group HTC holding.
He switched multiple positions in Siemens: he was the Head of Controlling; acted as a CFO and Executive Manager in the company SAT, which is a part of Siemens. He spent one year in New Zealand, and four years in Moscow, where he lead restructuralisation projects for the regions of Russia and Central Asia.
Since 2013 he holds the position of the regional CFO in OSRAM, where he manages business finance together with other functional areas within the company, such as Purchase, Production Planning, IT, Compliance, and Internal Control. Apart from the role of the CFO he is also the Head of Global Shared Services for the EMEA region.
