Innovative mornings

The first day at the CFO Executive Summit 2016 will kick off with a keynote address from Omar Saleh, Senior Strategy Lecturer of the Business School University of Portsmouth. With over 40 years of experience, he will be sharing ideas and approaches on predicting the future of your business, how to prepare your organization for the challenges ahead and how to understand the change in management strategy nowadays.

Robert Verbich, CFO of the year 2015 in Slovakia and CFO (Region of Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary & Head of Global Shared services for EMEA) of OSRAM will talk about the key competencies of a strategic CFO and how you can take steps to transform from CFO into Top CFO.

The day continues with a case study from Joao Paulo Pereira da Silva, Director of Strategy and Business Development at LafargeHolcim CEE, in which he will approach a step-by-step plan on how to create your own concrete digital strategy and how to make a Buzzword tangible. Next, Marek Gruszecki, Vice President of Finance of Quad/Graphics Europe and CFO of the Year in Poland, will talk about how to achieve sustainable growth and the best way to move towards smarter budgeting, planning and forecasting.

Right before lunch, do not hesitate to get involved in the “StartUP Quick-Pitch Competition” where 10 innovative business Startups will compete in quick 90 second pitching rounds, after which a jury as well as the audience can vote for their favorite Startup. Make sure you approach these aspiring entrepreneurs during the breaks – they are keen to get to know you!

A Practical Afternoon- It is time to be heard!

With an afternoon full of case studies, hands-on workshops and break-out sessions, it is time to get more involved and be heard. Choose one of three interactive workshop sessions that give you the chance to discuss the leaderhip development program and see how beneficial it will be for you and your organization. Will it be Accelerated Leader Development Program by Predrag Kudra (CFO of Fresenius Medical Care), Conflict Management by Nancy Radford (Coach, Facilitator, Speaker at Roundtuit and Durham University) or Strategic Conflict Management from Hans Burkard (Head of IT at AUVA)?

Interesting speakers such as Janos Szabo, CFO of Telekom Hungary, will talk about driving sustainable growth while keeping costs down and how the CFO is dealing with the complexity of the challenges of growth; reduce and deliver more with less. Next on the program is a case study presented by Daniel Burys, CFO of Kofola and CFO of the Year in The Czech Republic. During his session you will learn how a small local company that asked for money at a small local stock exchange became successful.

As Day 1 of the CFO Executive Summit comes to an end, we invite you to have a bit of fun and enjoy networking with interesting people at the Executive Evening Networking Program.
